RADIS RATINGS
PuntPerth offers several ratings packages.
The ratings generated are the culmination of some unique software developed over a number of years. The sophisticated program is known as RADIS, which is an acronym for Race Analysis Data Interrogation Software. The software is designed to interrogate southcoast database files, the base platform for all our form analysis. The Radis software will execute numerous race analytical functions, including assigning rating points to each individual race runner based on an abundance of form factors. Other features include, the ability to detect notable form patterns, a pricing component that frames a ratings based market on each race and a race speed simulator, that calculates race tempo and horses positions in running throughout. The software has been designed to have a programming bias for fitness, speed and consistency, three areas we rate as the pinnacle of form consideration. The program as good as what we think it is, cannot identify unlucky runs in a horses form history, so there will always be manual input involved before the final numbers are crunched. The input as such, is reliant on extensive video analysis, which is an extremely important component of our overall analysis. The software is not for sale or the public arena - however, ratings for selected races and meetings will be available via the two packages on offer at the moment.
Whatever package the client chooses, the ratings are sent in excel format via an email attachment.

We also offer the SWIS service. Sustainable Wagering Investment Strategies
The SWIS concept provides a service that is the integration of ratings and wagering strategies that are specifically tailored to meet client objectives.
SWIS is an investment model that facilitates wagering on horse racing as both a long term and viable investment strategy. It is a model of rational expectation that recognizes, if approached in a structured manner, opportunities are plentiful within racehorse wagering for long term sustainable returns.
The SWIS approach is specifically designed for the long haul, seeking long term low risk gain. For many the concept may appear too pedestrian, as the seductiveness of instant larger returns, has, for the most, outweighed any perceived less rewarding propositions over time. The mortality rate of those caught up in racing's 'fast buck' syndrome is enormous. As we are seeking successful punting longevity, then risk management is paramount on our punting approach. There always exists a trade off between the inclination to achieve a higher profit line and the necessity to control risk. Long term losing punters have been simply involved in too many high risk wagers in unsuitable races. Risk management is a defensive concept that fundamentally keeps us in the game, and is the one thing that will eventually determine success or failure. In many cases it is not so much the horse, but the race itself that inflicts punters with pain. That is why we spend an enormous amount of time seeking suitable 'profit making' races. In short, our punting philosophy is win small but win often.
There are numerous rating providers that will supply punters with full race card ratings and basically that is it, however, as you would probably be aware there are many races on any given card, from a punting perspective, that you wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Quality rating suppliers should be well aware of these races, yet still supply ratings on races as such. The point is, if the rating supplier wouldn't touch the race, then why forward it on to the client?
What we offer is a personalized service, in which realistic and attainable objectives are set after client consultation. Although this site is exclusively dedicated to Perth racing, our wagering and ratings are unrestricted. If our pursuit of suitable money making races dictates we have to wager in Melbourne, Sydney or that matter anywhere, then so be it. It should be noted that there will be a number of weeks throughout the course of the year where there will be no betting on any given Saturday. We are in this for the long haul, we are in this to achieve profits, we are not going to bet for the sake of having a bet. If there are no suitable races on any given day then so be it, we will stay out, as simple as that.
We basically need to find out how much you would like to wager every weekend, and from that we can set some realistic and attainable target betting. Our overall time frame would be one year, broken down into monthly incremental targets. All wagering will be monitored by bet tracking software to ensure correct staking is implemented to accomplish the set targets. Selections will be determined by Radis ratings and a minimum price requirement as set by the software pricing component. As all punters circumstances are different, some client selections and wagering may differ from others to conform to specific individual targets. In many cases clients will be set up with two betting portfolios, one for place betting, the other for win, both working for the overall target. At this point we need to re emphasize our betting philosophy of win small, win often. Bearing that in mind don't expect a windfall in the first year, just an acceptable supplement to our weekly income. For those who understand the compounding effect of rolling over certain amounts of money, things can look very healthy a few years down the track. Remember we approach this whole issue as treating punting as a long term viable business entity. I would direct readers to the articles on Punting as a Business (1) and Punting as a Business (2) to get a better idea of what we are about.
Because of the personal nature of the SWIS service there will be limited cliental base. Further information on the dynamics and finer points of this service will be supplied on expression of interest.
